Community Workshops - Round 2 - Development Trends and Policy Options

Development Trends

Development Trends Workshops have been completed. The Plan Santa Barbara Team conducted two community workshops on Development Trends on Saturday, April 19th and Wednesday, April 23rd at the Central Library Faulkner Gallery located at 40 E. Anapamu Street in downtown Santa Barbara.  Discussion groups had the opportunity to focus on questions about future policy considerations concerning Living within Our Resources, Community Character, Transportation and Housing. Policy Preferences

The Policy Options Report was completed in the begining of July and the public has been asked to review the report and submit comments by August 1st, 2008. The report is available online and copies of the report are also at the Planning Division of the Community Development Department, 630 Garden Street, Santa Barbara CA 93102.

Community Workshops were held at The Central Library Faulkner Gallery on 40 E. Anapamu Street, Thursday, July 17, 6:00 – 9:00 pm, and Wednesday, July 23, 6:00 – 9:00 pm.  Community input from April 2008 workshops was reviewed and discussed to refine potential updates to Santa Barbara’s General Plan.
